What kind of fingerprint device can connect with access control device?

How does the fingerprint device supply power?
Other biometric systems (iris, palm type instrument, etc.) and how do they connect with access control system?
Generally fingerprint equipment manufacturers will also produce fingerprint access control device, fingerprint, and access control functions will be integrated in one machine, this kind of access control device’s function is relatively simple, can only be used for common functional requirements and security level requirements are not high, and "Fingerprint + access controller" can be used for functional requirements more professional, more demanding security occasions and areas.

What kind of equipment can connect with access control device?
As long as the fingerprint device (fingerprint reader, fingerprint attendance, fingerprint access control, etc.) with Wiegand26 output format (the fingerprint number or card number in the authentication fingerprint after the legitimacy of the format output) can connect with access controller,and more than 80% of Fingerprint devices are equipped with wiegand26 output in the market.

How does fingerprint device to take power:?
If the normal current of fingerprint device below 300 mA, the active current is less than 700 mA, Fingerprint device and controller can connect with the same power (pay attention to the power load capacity, and some can not afford more than one fingerprint device).

If the fingerprint device and the controller are connected to a single power supply, it is recommended to take power from + 12V and GND directly from the power supply and do not take power from the controller board (because some controllers have current limiting protection for the input device).

If the controller power supply does not supply the fingerprint device, it is recommended to supply the fingerprint device separately, and then connect the two power sources in parallel. (If there is no parallel there will be no signal phenomenon.)

“Fingerprint+ Access Controller” mode offers a professional and powerful access control function to users who need fingerprint function. But the disadvantage is that two software managements are needed, one for fingerprint management and the other for access control management. And interconnectors are needed if fingerprint devices are connected, which makes it inconvenient to use. Although this software is integrated by some integrators now, it is less professional than the original one.
